MILL VILLAGE RESTORATION
For renovations to this 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Tupelo Mississippi's Mill Village neighborhood, I reused as many original doors and moldings as possible, but updated the home enough to give it a modern urban feel. The house had not been lived in for 20 years, and was starting to collapse. This renovation took about 8 months from start to finish.
BREAKAST NOOK AND SALVAGED WOOD TABLE
I built this breakfast nook into our kitchen. Benches have storage underneath. The table top is built from salvaged white oak. The table base is made from galvanized pipe parts from a local hardware store.
WASTE = PRODUCT KITCHEN WORK TABLE
Replacing our old kitchen cabinets created a bunch of wood "waste". Instead of taking it to the landfill, I decided to make a butcher block work table for our kitchen. The finished product is sealed in a food grade beeswax and mineral oil finish.
MISSION HILL RENOVATION
For renovations to a two family building in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, we took down walls and moved things around to achieve a more open concept. We used on-site salvaged lumber and vintage reclaimed fixtures.
RECLAIMED LUMBER PROJECTS
I LOVE with reclaimed lumber. The texture and imperfections really bring projects to life. As an added bonus, materials are kept out of the land fill!
